DOUBLE CLEANSING

Did you know double cleansing isn’t just cleansing with the same cleanser twice but cleansing with two separate cleansers? That’s what I said - TWO SEPARATE CLEANSERS. Double cleansing is firstly applying a cleansing balm or oil to remove your makeup, sunscreen, and anything else that may clog your pores. After rinsing off from your first cleanser you use your usual cleanser. Using your second cleanser will actually help to really get into those dirty pores and clean them out. Double cleansing is an important step in your everyday skincare routine.

Double cleansing is a beneficial face-washing technique for a few reasons. The two-step process helps remove oil-based dirt, residue, makeup, and sebum. A double cleanse also ensures your skin is thoroughly cleansed, making it easier for moisturizing serums and creams to absorb. Bottom line: Adding an oil and water-based cleanser to your routine can be game-changing. ❤️

The double cleansing concept was popular in South Korea when it was introduced to the beauty world, and yes mostly use two different cleanser. It has evolved to few methods that may suits different skin types and concerns. France 🇫🇷 probably was popular with introducing micellar/cleansing water making double cleansing easier for makeup users. The choice is at user convenience, either micellar water+water based/foaming cleanser, foaming+foaming cleanser or cleansing oil+foaming cleanser or even milk cleanser+foaming cleanser. Double cleansing is not for everyone, some folks developed sensitivity with double cleansing, and prefer gentle cleansers.

I never considered the use of the same cleanser as double cleansing. I've always used two separate products.
