Cleaning Make-up Brushes

Hi how do you usually clean your make-up tools like brushes after using it? I usually use cleansing oil and rub them on my brush, then after that will soak and swirl them in a cup filled with hot boiled water to "melt" all the products like foundation etc, then will rinse once again with hot water and use facial foam and rinse them again with hot water and cold water as final step. after that I'll just put them on top of layered tissues and will use it again after it dry since I don't have hair dryer... but is it already OK or not clean enough?πŸ€”do you have specific products to clean them? I'm curious with how you clean your make-up brushes, thank you in advance.

Your method sounds good to me, thank you for sharing! I use shampoo to wash my makeup brushes, nothing fancy, usually buy it when it’s on a promotion. And I use a soap tray (something like on the picture) to rub the brushes on it to create foam. I then put them on a towel by the window to dry. :)

I clean them on a silicone brush with some makeup remover. Afterwards I proceed to wash them out with a shampoo..

Wow, that’s an interesting way to wash them! I usually wash my makeup brushes using warm water and QV 2 in 1 baby shampoo & conditioner, because I’ve got many samples of it. I use my hand to rub the brushes for a proper wash, I found that it works best for me.

thank you so much for sharing your way to wash your brushes! πŸ₯° baby shampoo sounds really great as option, I might gonna use that instead of my facial wash in the future!

I just use a brush cleansing shampoo and a brush cleansing mat, then rinse and lay flat to air dry. I personally avoid soaking my brushes since it can damage them.

I agree with your statement about it might damage them. I did this many times and so far my brushes are OK, but of course it'll damage them soon especially during hot boiled water. thank you for sharing your way of cleaning them! πŸ’š

I don't have any specific soap or tools to cleaning up my makeup brush, i just use my face wash or my body wash to clean it and i use my clean hands to rub the dirty brushes off

good to know! thought its forbidden to use shampoo or body wash since they'll be used on face but everyone seems OK using that, so I'd rather use shampoo or body wash instead of wasting my facial foam 🀣 thank you for sharing Ricka πŸ’š
