Super weird, but I think the Cosrx snail mucin essence is breaking me out? Does anyone have any idea why?

My skin is neither acne-prone nor sensitive, but last month, I got a few pimples, one time, I even got two pimples the same day. I know that doesn't sound like a lot to most people, but it's very unusual for me. The only new additions to my routine were the snail mucin and a new sunscreen. Initially I thought it was the sunscreen, so I stopped using that for a few days and I couldn't observe any change. Then I stopped using the snail mucin for a few days and my skin went back to normal. To be fair, the breakouts weren't dramatic or anything, but like I said, it's not something I'm used to so I got all suspicious immediately. Does anyone have any idea what ingredient in the essence could have prompted this?

Any ingredient can break you out. But if you have never had any experience with snail mucin, it can possibly be that. Usually nature derived ingredients have a higher chance of causing allergic reaction than lab made ones.

*sigh* didn't occur to me that it could just be the snail mucin itself that irritated my skin

A product which works for many can still be a downfall to others! If snail is breaking you out in the product, I suggest to stop use :(

I didn't know snail mucin could be irritating. It just goes to show that there is not an ingredient that is perfect for everybody.
