Do you use cleansing oil even on no make-up days? Why or why not?

I'm curious what everyone thinks about using cleansing oil on a daily basis whether you wear makeup/sunscreen or not. I know that many think it's pointless, others do it regardless to keep pores deep cleaned. What does Picky think?

I only double cleanse with cleansing oil or balm when I wear makeup, water resistant or mineral sunscreen. If I'm just using my non-water resistant chemical sunscreen, I don't usually use cleansing oil as my current water based cleanser is able to remove regular sunscreens well on its own. Sometimes I would double cleanse when I feel a need for a deeper cleanse/skin feels congested.

Depends on your skin type I suppose. Kind of similar to the question if double cleansing is necessary. In my case... if I am not wearing makeup I like cleansing once. It's between an oil cleanser or gel cleanser. I use oil for the pores and I do feel the blackheads and gunk come out when I am gently massaging it in during this process. I switch it up between oil and gel on days where I use a chemical exfoliator and my skin handles these acids better this way. Since I have combo skin, the cleansing is usually the part on which I have most freedom to experiment with all the skin care I have and don't have to be overly concerned on how a cleanser with hurt my skin. That's just my two cents here though.

A lot of people still use cleansing oils or balms on off days without makeup because it removes SPF residue so well.
