Morning cleanse yes/no UPDATE

Hi lovely people ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ In the previous discussion, we got loads of information on your morning routine preference regarding cleaning (why I made the sentence sound so weird), and we were getting repeated answers patterned answers. It was an if statement. Honestly, I was expecting all the oily galls to say yes and all the dry galls to say no (my narrow mind is more open now, promise). But there were more common answers between the two skin types, almost the same. โœจGentle cleanser in the morning for both.โœจ Common reason for oily and dry besties to cleanse in the morning: - wash of night routine/anything that touched face from night till morning - morning routine absorbs better / clean surface for makeup Common reason for oily and dry besties to not cleanse in the morning: - no time / in a rush - feeling dry - just using water/toner Oily besties cleanse more often to keep the oil production in control and not clog their pores. And finally, the last note by ReneeEgan: there's no right or wrong answer. You know best what your skin needs at the moment, do that. Somewhere on the internet, I read that the best skincare is simple skincare. There's a picture attached. I used to keep track of the information shared by you guys. It's messy, but I thought maybe you want to see it??? I dunno. The numbers are for each time a user mentioned a reason. So, from one user, there could be three reasons mentioned. I've added one point to each of the three reasons? (this is not serious guys, I'm just trying to explain, and itโ€™s definitely not 100% accurate)

Oily/Sensitive

Oily person here who only cleanses with water in the morning โœ‹ I find when I don't properly hydrate my skin in the evening, I will wake up with an oily t zone. When I do, I still get a shiny t zone but it's just skincare and not oil, and washes away easily. How to properly hydrate? I like layering toners prior to sealing it in with essence and moisturizer. The only exception is when I slugged the night before and use a gentle milk cleanser to get a clean surface before am skincare and makeup.

Well said, cleansing only when feeling oily or to get a clean surface for the morning routine/makeup ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

I love the chart, thanks for sharing that! It's so much easier for me to understand something when I can visualize it.
