Skincare isnt working

Hi, has anyone here experienced worsen dullness right after applying skincare? Usually it would be the other way around but recently my sister told me something shocking and even if i try to deny it, its true. She said my skin looked burnt, oily ,lifeless and became more dull every time after I applied my skincare. But when I skipped skincare for a day or two, my skin was not looking burnt. Its not glowy either, it was back to normal. What's wrong with my skincare? They are not expired yet..my skin isnt irritated but becomes more dull. Can somebody possibly explain if you have experi3nced this before too and how to fix it?

Maybe u using too much active ingredients within ur skincare routine. How about try sticking to a basic routine and focus more with hydration and using 1 active ingredients at a time and exfoliate the skin once a week. I reccomend.1. Cleanser-hydrating toner- mosturiser-sunscreen(morning).2. Cleanser-hydrating toner- 1 serum- mosturiser(night).3. Cleanser-clay mask/ bha product- mosturiser(exfoliating day/once a week). Try this first for 3 weeks to a month. U can see the difference with ur face.

I only cleanse my face at night..is the routine you suggested is one per week or alternating with each other. About the actives, i only incorporate vit c through jumiso's serum.. other than that, everything else seemed to be focusing on barrier and hydration and moisturization.

These product have no problem being used separately...all of them passed the patch test and all of them are basically used until i have emptied half of their volume since early november.so theres no new addition to my routine.
