Over exfoliated skin

Hello! When you have an over exfoliated skin, and it started to have like a bit of burn marks on your face what do you suggest for a gentle cleanser to use and simple routine to heal it? 🙂

I really like the cetaphil gentle cleanser when ever I have this issue. Make sure you are also not using anything with AHA or BHA while your skin heals. Also apply a ceramide. It might sting, because of your skin damage but it will help it heal faster.

I suggest u stick on with simple routine like Cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. The basic minimal skincare step.Try low pH cleanser with calming soothing healing ingredients like the Rovectin skin essential conditioning cleanser. As for moisturizer I suggest you to use Dear klairs midnight blue calming cream. It relieve your irritated skin with the goodness from cica, guaiazulene plus it has got basic amino acids and peptides for improving skin firmness and texture. As for sunscreen you can continue with the sunscreen you use unless it gives any irritating effects. Simply opt for products containing soothing calming ingredients like cica, green tea, mugwort, ceramides, omega fatty acid, etc.

Thank you! I was thinking of using the hada labo light lotion as a my hydrating toner also. Do you still use a vitamin c when you're skin is irritated?

Unless your skin barrier is completely healed I prefer not to use any active. That include vitamin C too. If your skin is recovering gradually incorporate vitamin C to your routine. As for lotion you can use the one that you mention if u already like it. It look great too as it contain humectants.

I try my best to reduce my routine at the same time I rely more on centella products whenever this happens 💚
