I saw this tweet by Dr. Erin and I thought I should share it to you guys.

We share the same sentiment regarding sunscreens, especially with #2. I personally don't reapply when I'm just indoors all day. I just make sure to apply it evenly after bath and there you go. I also don't use the 2 finger method when applying one 'cos I find it extremely heavy even when I'm using the lightest in my sunscreen collection. 

What are your thoughts?  What are the rules you bend when using sunscreens? I wanna hear your opinions on this one since sunscreens are getting more recognition these days.

The Dose Makes the Poison

Hello! Just thinking of buying inkeylist salicylic acid cleanser and isntree aha essence. How do you suggest I use it? I have an oily skin, but it's my first time trying salicylic acid cleansers so I'm a bit hesitant. I wanna use both of them in the morning tho, but not together ofc. I'm thinking of using them alternatively for a week, like this week 2x bha, and the next week 2x aha, then back to bha again. Is that okay?

Summer is approaching that&#39;s why I switched to a more lighter sunscreen that I can use everyday. But this sunscreen would be my go-to if I will go out, but if I&#39;m only inside the house, I think wearing this would be too much

Definitely a holy grail! I&#39;m an oily person but I did not find this super heavy on my skin. I even apply a separate moisturizer underneath it but it didn&#39;t feel so much heavy at all. It&#39;s a perfect blend of moisturizer and sunscreen, so you can get away with just applying this without a moisturizer.

❎Cons:
- smells strongly of citrus, but goes away after application
- irritated me lol

Do I fully recommend it? No. But if you&#39;re not acne-prone and looking for a Vit. C with a very good shelf life and you&#39;re not allergic to fragrance, you could give this product a try.

◾Product details and claims:
The product features the most active form of Vit. C which is L-ascorbic acid and Vit. E which could help in stabilizing the former. It boasts with its unique packaging which protects the Vit. C inside against the risk of oxidation. No matter how hard you squeeze, the product will only dispense one drop at a time. This makes sure that no air nor light will affect the remaining product. It can also be applied to the whole face, sk don&#39;t be fooled with its name. 

◾Price:
It&#39;s quite pricey for its size (20ml) for 690 PHP or $14.26. But I guess you&#39;re paying for the packaging 🤷

◾Texture:
It seems to be oily at first, but it really isn&#39;t. When spread evenly, it is easily absorbed and doesn&#39;t leave an oily&#47;tacky feeling. 

◾Experience:
I purchased this last May 4, 2020, can you imagine how long it has been for an L-ascorbic acid? Yet the color&#39;s still the same since the first time I opened it. This just proves how essential the packaging is. I&#39;ve been using it on and off before on my face because everytime I apply it on my face, my pimples seem to be aggravated. I don&#39;t want to accept the fact that it irritates me before because of its price, that&#39;s why I really gave it a plenty of chance. But it really never worked, I don&#39;t know if it&#39;s because of its strong fragrance or the L-ascorbic itself. But recently I&#39;ve watched Dr Shereene Idriss take on Vit. C in skincare. She said that L-ascorbic acid may be not the best choice for acne-prone people like me 🥲 So I&#39;ve repurposed it on my body instead. Worked wonders on my hyperpigmentation due to eczema and insect bites. I&#39;ve been using it on and off before on my face because everytime I apply it on my face, my pimples seem to be aggravated. I don&#39;t want to accept the fact that it irritates me before because of its price, that&#39;s why I really gave it a plenty of chance. ◾ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀: Brings hydration without stickiness &amp; tightness, also helps to remove dead skin cells. Plays a role as a boosting toner that improves absorbability of the next steps in your routine. 

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 
- MadeWhite, brightening ingredient from Madagascar Centella Asiatica
- 90% Centella Asiatica Extract

◾ 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲: Currently priced at 946 PHP or ~$19

◾ 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴: Comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with an orifice reducer of course. The bottle dispenses the toner quite well without spillage.

◾ 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Watery texture, it doesn&#39;t have any slip to it which makes it super lightweight. That is why I prefer using it with cotton pads so I can control where it applies. Tried using it with my hands but the product always drips on my arms. 

◾ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I use this one at AM because of its lightweight texture. But everytime I use this, I feel a slight tingling sensation. I don&#39;t know if it&#39;s the exfoliating fruit extracts that&#39;s causing it. But thankfully, I didn&#39;t experience any irritation, just that tingling sensation. Been using this for almost 2 weeks, but I can&#39;t see its brightening effect yet. Maybe I need to give it a longer time to work since it only contains mild brightening agents. But so far, I liked my experience with this one.

✅ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀:
- No artificial fragrance (but smells fruity when you smell it directly)
- Deep soothing care
- Can be used at both AM and PM

◾ 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲: ★★★★☆

Seriously, none. I honestly didn&#39;t expect it to be this good. My mistake was taking it for granted for years :(

I did not have high expectations for this one as I thought it would be heavy on the skin. I always overlook this one whenever I go to watsons or any drugstores. But holy cow it is so lightweight and fragrance free! I use it now as my everyday sunscreen when I&#39;m only going to be inside the house. It&#39;s spf 40 so it will suffice as an indoor sunscreen

I am so happy to introduce to you guys this local brand soul apothecary because their formulations are just 😗🤌. They just proved that you don&#39;t need anything expensive just to get a good product! 

𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗺
◾ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
- Niacinamide 5% 
- Tranexamic acid 2%
- Arbutin 2%
- Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine (hinders melanin production) 

◾ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I LOVE THIS. Looking at the ingredients list, you can tell straight away that it&#39;s going to be good. It&#39;s a serum targeted to lighten dark spots, red marks, and hyperpigmentation. Been using this for 3 weeks already and my experience has been nothing but great. My red marks are less apparent, some dark spots have lighten, and it&#39;s just excellent overall! Would really repurchase once I finish this 😄
