Deep Pore Clarifying Serum - Clear
They check off all the boxes: cruelty free, vegan, paraben/sulfate free, no artificial fragrance, etc.
The overall feel I get from the packaging is similar to pharmaceutical cosmetics but with an emphasis on clean ingredients.
The serum looks like a light lotion but actually performs like a very light watery gel.
The vehicle and delivery is wonderfully designed.
Right off the bat I noticed a familiar scent. It is a very strong smell of spearmint which reminded me of chewing gum. (This could be good or bad).
Oily skin prone to breakouts would definitely benefit from this product. (Organic acai, SA, and menthol)
I have an old, small, very deep under the skin cyst (pre-isotretinoin) that
I will get cut out if it ever bothers me, grows, or becomes painful.
I tried a tiny amount of this product as a spot treatment on that area and did feel like it decreased and soothed the cyst which was impressive considering how deep this sucker is.
This product does have great reviews online from oily skin types.
I gave this product a low rating for dry/sensitive skin types like myself.
Right off the bat I noticed a familiar scent. It is a very strong smell of spearmint which reminded me of chewing gum. I wasn't a fan.
My skin felt instant cooling and tingling from the menthol. This sensation was too intense in my nasal folds.
The absorption was quick but left my dry skin feeling a little dryer. 😔
I quickly realized my skin type is the total opposite from the skin type this product is aimed for.
The product is a little pricey. $47.50 on the brand's website and $46 on Dermstore.
With dry and sometimes sensitive skin, sadly this product is not a match for me. I will continue using it as a spot treatment on my annoying, baby cyst. 💙
