Calming Balance Facial Toner
i was pleasantly surprised by this toner! enjoyed it a lot more than i thought i would.
this is a very mild watery toner. it’s fragrance free, alcohol free and oil free. key ingredients include:
✨ green tea extract
✨ birch tree sap
✨ centella asiatica extract
✨ licorice root extract
✨ camomile extract
as you can see, there are many ingredients for soothing skin. it is so light and calming, and has a mild pleasant scent. i use it in my nightly routine since i want calm skin before retinol use. dont ask me how, but it’s also very soothing mentally, using this toner somehow relaxes my brain too.
it comes in a very simple transparent plastic bottle, with a screw cap, with very minimalistic design. i really like the simplicity, even the bottle felt soothing to me.
this was very affordable too, especially for 200ml.
would i buy this again? yes, and i already did.
there arent many things to critique about this toner. and whatever bad things i have to say feels nitpicky.
mainly, it isnt as hydrating as it claims to be. it’s marketed to be very hydrating, but the hydration was okay imo. it wasnt bad, but dont expect to fix dryness with just this toner.
it’s also too mild to expect immediate results. this is probably something that will require months of regular use before you notice visible changes.
