Vitamin C & Acai Berry Purifying Toner
simply put, i don’t like this toner. there’s nothing overtly bad in this, just one little issue.
key ingredients:
🔅niacinamide
🔅magnesium ascorbyl phosphate
🔅centella asiatica extract
🔅aloe vera
⚜️packaging: the packaging is functional and straight forward. it comes in a white opaque bottle with a push cap top, makes dispensing the toner really easy.
⚜️texture: orange tinted liquid, watery and not viscous. absorbs quickly.
⚜️ scent: mildly citrus from EO
⚜️ others: vegan & organic, also alcohol-free, and very affordable
🗣 thoughts:
the toner is actually pretty effective in the sense that it meets its claims. my skin looks brighter and my pores feels purified when i use it, nor do i become oily from this. it actually feels really refreshing on my skin and i would enjoy it except for this one bit.
it BURNS. i’m not sure what exactly in this formulation that my skin is against. it’s not a mild sting btw, this full on burns my skin, especially around my nose.
❗️firstly, ofc the presence of citrus EO may be a big no no to some people. (my skin is usually okay with this.)
❗️the solution is gritty?? it didn’t affect the texture or absorption but it did not look pretty when i douse my cotton pad
❗️this is minor but the opaque white bottle makes any dirt or dust very obvious
will i repurchase? nahh, this is very much a skip for me.
