Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleansing Oil
Oil cleansing is so great because it can unclogs our pores. You see, oil attracts oil, so when you oil cleanse your face, you pull out all the sebum and grime collected deep within your pores. Not only that, actually oil cleansers are also gentle and effective at lifting off makeup and sunscreen. So, it's one of the reasons I love it so much!
• Packaging
Comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a stopper for the pump so you can easily travel with it without having to worry about it leaking in your bag. But make sure don't lose its stopper!
• Scent
There is no noticeable scent or smell in this cleansing oil, so it’s a great one to try if you’re sensitive to fragrance in your skincare products.
• Texture
The consistency of the oil is quite thin and runny, which makes it so easy to spread evenly across the face. Even though the bottle is yellow in colour (because of the product details' sticker), the cleansing oil is actually in transparent.
• Personal Experience and Thought
I have oily, dehydrated and acne-prone skin and this works very well for me at first. You must use it on completely dry skin for it to work properly. I wear loads of sunscreen, sometimes BB cream if I'm going outside and it takes it right off! No pulling, tugging, or rough wiping. Just soft circular application and everything just melts off.
At first, I struggled with the residue of oil feel it left on my skin, so I paired it with a Purito Deep Cleansing cleanser and later, it doesn't leave oily residue at all.
The oil doesn't have a fragrance and seems to utilise olive, jojoba, macadamia and rosehip seed oils as its main ingredient and it definitely matches the consistency of the oils with lighter in viscosity.
Watching my eyeliner melt right off my eyes is pretty awesome, but the real magic comes when I close my eyes and literally feel my mascara crust off my lashes and dissolve against the gentle rubbing of my fingertips.
And, as soon as water even touches this cleansing oil, it emulsifies and turns milky white!
I like that it does have refills available instead of having to buy a new bottle every time.
• Suitable For
All type of skin will appreciate this cleansing oil from Hada Labo. But make sure to do a patch test first before you try any skincare product on your face as our skin sensitivity is different to each other.
This was a 'like-hate' for me but not a 'love' product. I have to note that this Hada Labo Cleansing Oil does contain an olive oil and it's moderately comedogenic, meaning that it's likely to clog pores and lead to irritation or acne, and the sad truth is that my oily skin does hate any olive oil based products. At first week, I actually liked it, I found the consistency to be nice, and comfortable on the skin and once water is added, it emulsifies quite nicely. But after a few weeks later, I noticed that I started to has clogged pores and breakouts around my jawline and cheek. I’ve used lots of different cleansing oils, but the ones with olive oil always does this to me. So, it isn’t a criticism of this cleansing oil, its just that my skin can’t handle it.
