I Like Cica Microbiome Serum
I was able to purchase the I Like Cica Biome Serum through @0.8l at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. This serum helps balance skin’s microbiome for vibrant, healthy skin with a metabolic fermentation solution of Bifida ferment lysate and Centella Asiatica Extract. Bifida bacteria strengthens the skin barrier, and 4 kinds of Centella Asiatica Extract soothes skin that can become sensitized because of environmental factors, causing microbiome to be out of balance.
Claims:
Soothes and calms skin gently without causing irritation
Weightless watery formula offers a hydrating refreshing finish after use
Calms troubled skin from environmental stress by restoring and strengthening skin’s protective barrier
No artificial color or fragrance, Vegan
Key Ingredients:
Centella Asiatica Extract
Madecassoside
Asiaticoside
Asiatic Acid
Bifida Ferment Lysate
Lactobionic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid
Glycerin
Panthenol
(see picture for full ingredient list)
Texture: lightweight gel-like texture, described as a “watery texture”. I did not notice any added fragrance
Packaging: Aqua colored frosted 30ml bottle with dropper.
My Review: I used this serum for about 2 weeks both AM and PM after cleaning and toning. I wanted to try it because my skin reacts well to Cica and I had enjoyed using the mask from this brand. Initially I applied it to a dry face, and didn’t feel like it was very hydrating, in fact my skin felt drier. I was going to stop using it, but decided to read through the full ingredient list on the box to see why the results were not as claimed. It contains 5 kinds of Hyaluronic acid in the ingredients, along with the 4 kinds of Centella Extract, so I started applying it while my face was still damp from the toner for better results after the first couple of days. I used about 4-5 drops and then I pat it onto my damp skin. It spreads easily and I thought it absorbed quickly with no stickiness. Skin felt soft (almost silky), calm and hydrated and it really helped with my tendency for redness. I did not experience any irritation whatsoever and I feel like this would be great for someone with dehydrated skin (or drier skin like me). I like the idea of using probiotics in skincare and I am interested in seeing complete benefits after using for a longer period of time
A little pricey and you must use it on damp skin, not dry skin in order to feel hydrating effects
