Time Return Melatonin Eye Cream
I received the @maxclinic Time Return Melatonin Eye Cream in a giveaway from @cosmetic_jolse in exchange for my honest review.
Melatonin is a hormone released by the brain at night, and has long been associated with improving the body’s sleep and wake cycle. Apparently melatonin directly supports skin proteins such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin, making the skin elastic and strengthening the skin barrier. In addition, it has the power to protect the skin from aging more than vitamins C and E, so it is a popular ingredient for skin therapy. I have used supplements containing melatonin when I have insomnia issues, but never in a skincare product. I was very interested in trying this cream to see the effects.

My Review: .The eye cream contains melatonin and 7 kinds of hyaluronic acid. It is meant to be used in the under eye area, and can also be applied to lines, and wrinkles. This was a lighter cream and was easier to apply. I used this at night. I put a little on my finger, dot it around my orbital area and under eye and gently tap until absorbed. This eye cream absorbs quickly and I experienced no irritation. It isn’t sticky and ete area looks hydrated and moisturized. I have dark circles, fine lines and tendency to puffy eyes.
It really helps with puffiness the next morning, but did nothing for my dark circles as far as I could tell. The eye area also looks smoother. I haven’t used it long enough to see any major improvement, but find melatonin an interesting concept as a skincare ingredient.
Lots of botanical extracts but I experienced no issues
