Pomegranate AHA & Enzymes Resurfacing Mask
The Korres Pomegranate Pomegranate AHA & Enzymes Resurfacing Mask is a triple power mask made with 27.5% AHAs/BHAs. Made for those with oily/combination skin to remove dead skin cells and refine the look of pores. Formulated with:
- Jojoba Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Witch Hazel and Raddish Root ferment to help nourish and refine the skin
- Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, & Pomegranate Enzymes help chemically remove dead skin cells
- Kaolin Clay and White Willow Extract is rich in Salicylic Acid which help absorb excess sebum & refine enlarged pores
Want to know the best thing about this mask? It exfoliates your skin in 3 different ways:
- Chemical: the blend of AHA/BHA peels away dead skin cells
- Mechanical: physically exfoliates the skin
- Enzymatic: breaks down down keratin protein giving smoother skin
This mask is pretty intensive. Far more so than DE BabyFacial but close if not more to The Ordinary’s AHA/BHA mask. The mask contains
pomegranate grains so it is grainy but didn’t find them to be irritating. Slight tingle when applying but gave no slight burn sensation that some of the other similar masks do. One of my favorite things about this mask is it’s only 3-5 minutes. I rinsed off with wet hands in circles and face was left feeling soft and smooth. Biggest con is that it contains denatured alcohol and its listed 3rd on the ingredient list. I would not recommend this to someone with dry skin.
PROS:
- Free of petrolatum, mineral oil, silicones, propylene glycol, and ethanolamines
- Did not irritate skin
- Quick. 3-5 minutes
- Left skin feeling soft and smooth
- Slightly minimized my pores
- Soaked up excess sebum
CONS:
- Fragrance listed in ingredients
- Did not refine or minimize pores
- Denatured Alcohol (3rd on list)
