Drunk Elephants F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial is a mask that rehydrates parched and hungover skin throughout the night. This waterfacial will visibly plump, cool, and restore the skin while helping support the skin’s acid mantle. Formulated with: - Four Electrolyte Blend is rich in antioxidants and humectant ingredients. Electrolytes help maintain hydration levels, support barrier strength, calm redness, and protect against dehydration - Vitamin F is full of fatty acids that help maintain hydration levels, reduce irritation levels, and support the skin’s acid mantle - Niacinamide supports the skin barrier and has a wide range of other benefits. It can increases the skins resiliency, balance oil production, help uneven tone/texture and improve fine lines/wrinkles I may upset some with this. But I don’t get the cult following hype around DE if I’m being honest. Maybe because I’ve only used 6 of the items in their large range of products. I do like and use 3 of their products but more on that in future reviews. I find most of their products to be sticky (VC) and mediocre at best. And mediocre is how I see the F-Balm. Let me start by saying I was gifted the deluxe sample size (I got about 10 uses of of it) and out of the entire use I didn’t see any of the beads in the mask that are said to be full of Vitamin F. So it’s possible that’s reason for why this wasn’t a great experience. With claims of rehydrating parched and dehydrated skin I expected far more hydration than I got. My face felt semi dry every morning I woke up when using over Marula Oil (shocking I know!). And when I did put a moisturizer over or under it I didn’t see the big boost of extra hydration. Cooling? Didn’t get that feeling. Calm and reduce redness? Nope. Give me B-Hydra everyday but F-Balm is a no. PROS: - Cruelty Free - Free of essential oils, - Did not irritate skin - Absorbs well - When used with additional moisturizer it was slightly more hydrating
