Dark Spot Corrector
Personally I’m finding this product is really helping with my hyperpigmentation, which I suffer from quite badly🥴 I get hormonal acne and I have a lot of post-acne marks on my cheeks💢 First thing to commend about this product is its packaging, simple but elegant dark glass, dropper-style bottle. I store it in a cool dark place as well to preserve the product better.
So I use this 3-4 times a week, a little more than the suggested 2-3 applications a week, but I have quite tolerant skin💪🏻 It’s important to remember that this is an ampoule💧 not a serum💦 (despite its lightweight texture) so it’s not suitable for daily use.
In addition to vitamin C, it contains salicylid and citric acids which are exfoliating, as well as ferulic acid, which brings out the best in vitamin C🍊 It contains niacinamide too. So you got a fair few actives here which complement and work well together. When I do use this, I use it in the mornings and be sure to follow with SPF🌤 (after moisturising of course).
For me, it’s been a great addition to my routine and has helped keep my redness and pigmentation at bay💕
Nothing negative of note, except that it is a little too runny💦 I normally drip-drop treatments onto my cheek bone and work it in and pat dry from there, but with this I gotta be quick with the application, else it trickles down my face or drops onto my neck or shoulder!🧻 I barely squeeze the dropper and I got product welling on the tip. It’s not a big deal, I work with it, but you always want a controlled application. A less steady hand might struggle.
There is also a faint chip-like/oily slightly floral scent?🤔 I’m not sure how to describe it or what ingredient causes it. It’s neither bad nor pleasant 🤷🏻♀️ It disappears pretty fast, but it might bother you.
All in all, the positives far outweight any setbacks, at least for me! I would recommend this product to those with skin concerns like mine - hyperpigmentation, post-acne marks and dark spots. I’m confident you’ll see results, just be consistent with it!🍃
Not sure it’s as suitable to those with sensitive skin though, just because of the exfoliating ingredients in this. Or rather, I would caution them to use it less frequently and build up to it first🏋🏻♀️
