Barrier Boost Face Formula
@vauntskincare Barrier boost face formula Review
๐คฉ Price- Rs 799 for 45 ml, I got during summer sale at less.
๐คฉ My Skin type: Combination dry skin with mild rocacea
๐คฉ Ingredients: Ceramide CLR-K complex which is a mix of phospholipids and 10 % Sphingolipids, Bakuchi oil. Though Bakuchiol is mentioned on front of the bottle, Ingredients list mentions containing Bakuchi or Babchi oil. Babchi oil contains psoralen containing furocoumarins which may induce photosensitive reactions. Bakuchiol is the chemical component in Bakuchi oil isolated and purified and hence doesn't pose same skin irritating potential as babchi oil. Both are not same.
๐คฉ Fragrance: It has scent of some carrier oil
๐คฉ Texture: Light weight moisturizer which leaves a hybrid finish of both matte and dewy.
๐คฉ My Experience:
I am using this moisturizer on and off since May. I like to use it with my retinols or after a chemical peel as it calms my skin really well. I personally didn't experience any adverse effects due to bakuchi oil in it. I found it enough Moisturizing for my combination skin. It works well under makeup too. It doesn't have ceramides but it's precursors which are added for recovery of skin barrier. I found it soothing my irritated skin really well. I also use it in my retinol sandwich technique as it never pills or feels heavy. I have been alternatively using formula rx moisturizer with this one and my skin loves it during these humid weathers. I also love to use it after shaving peach fuzz. Though initially I felt price is little higher for 45 ml but it lasts long. Also love the glass packaging and pump dispenser, they have invested greatly in it.
๐คฉ Rating: 4 out of 5
๐คฉ Recommendation: I will recommend this to people with oily, combination and normal skin type. Definitely do patch test while using it. I recommend calm cream to people with dry skin.
It has babchi oil but they mentioned it as Bakuchiol. Both are different
