Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is a advanced brightening and refining treatment cream that reduces appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
Key Ingredients:
- Alpha-Arbutin 1% is a powerful relative of hydroquinone; brightens the appearance of dark spots & discoloration
- Papain (papaya enzymes) exfoliates & smooths the upper layer of skin restoring clarity
- Two Forms of Hyaluronic Acid pulls water into the skin for intense hydration that lasts up to 24 hours
- Tamarind Extract helps to moisturize the skin
I only have the luxury sample size so I can’t review if there was any brightening from this cream. That said this is probably one of my least favorite moisturizers/cream I have every used.
The texture is a watery gel that is lightweight. It has a scent, it’s odd and can’t put my finger on what it actually smells like. It goes on smoothly took awhile for it to absorb. When it does finally absorb it feels tacky on the skin. It does pill if you use more than a pea size amount. It didn’t work well for me under makeup. When used alone I didn’t find it to be very hydrating.
I just find it to be blah and just not a big fan. I find it to be ridiculously overpriced at $65. If you are looking for a water cream I do recommend Purito Deep Sea PureWater Cream.
PROS:
- Cruelty Free
- Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates
- Didn’t irritate skin or cause breakouts
- Lightweight
- Moisturized skin well enough
- Refreshing
CONS:
- Could be more moisturizing
- Contains essential oils
- Pills if you use to much
- Didn’t work well under makeup
- Odd scent
- Takes awhile to absorb
- Tacky feeling left on skin
