An exfoliating serum, even for sensitive skin…introducing the EqualRXN Oat Milk PHA Serum 🥛 Containing Oat Milk Complex, Snow Mushroom Polysaccharide, Beta Glucan & Saponins and Seed Butters, she’s got a license to GLOW ✨ This serum contains Lactobionic Acid, which is a Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA). Lactobionic Acid, derived from lactose and known for its gentle exfoliation due to its larger molecule size, is suitable for those even with sensitive skin. It also has antioxidant properties as well as being hydrating to the skin - she’s a real powerhouse PHA! The serum has a beautiful viscous texture where a little spreads a long way. Thanks to the oat milk complex, Beta Glucan and Snow Mushroom, she’s soothing and calming the HOUSE! It has a beautiful soothing sensation when applied to the skin, and in my experience I’ve not observed any irritation or tingling from this, which I sometimes get with other acids. Using this after applying toners, I’ve found it to work perfectly with other products and no pilling or the product going all janky. It’s also fragrance free, but it has a very mild oat / milky scent which I actually really enjoy! I use this at nighttime as I would with other acids, but it can also be used during the day (remember your SPF kids!!). Waking up the next day, my skin feels soft, bouncy and very glowy! Another test I did (NOT recommended unless you are an experienced user with very tolerant skin!), is using this serum over a toner, adding a calming serum on top then applying my usual retinal serum. I didn’t experience any irritation and I find using gentle acids along side retinal really helps boost the effects and gives you an incredible ‘retinoid glow’ the next day! Overall, an awesome product from an amazing brand founder definitely worth checking out!
