Phat Glow Facial Mask
This one was creating a lot of buzz in the aesthetic community and I tried to resist - but I then learned that it wasn’t available in Canada at one point - and, like any skincare addict would, I made it my mission to get my hands on this product. While the brand considers PHAT Glow Facial an anti-aging mask, I see benefits for anybody who wants that fresh facial afterglow. A quick 15-minute application twice per week will do wonders, and it can be used immediately prior to makeup application! This mask is a thick and creamy pink upon application and turns white as it transforms your skin. The ingredient list is long (part of the reason I tried to say no), so I’ll outline the power players. Nordic birch sap, gluconolactone, gluconic acid, niacinamide and vitamin E provide anti-aging properties. The niacinamide and licorice root extract brighten your skin and help to provide that wow-factor glow. Bentonite clay detoxifies and acts as an anti-inflammatory. For moisture, PHAT offers panthenol, biotin, and sandalwood, eriophorum spissum flower, sugar cane and chamomilla recutita flower extracts, in addition to salvia hispanica seed oil, caprylol glycol, and trustworthy hyaluronic acid. Of course, many of these ingredients provide more than one benefit. If you’re looking to brighten up dull skin, prevent or correct minor lines, and keep skin conditioned, this is a must try!
If I had to select anything negative, it would be a personal preference. I like ridiculous amounts of hydrating properties in my skincare and felt this was lacking a teeny bit in that department.
