Clear Balm (Moisturizer)
Balms are moisturizing products that help create a moisture barrier on your skin to seal in the products used before it (much like the functon of a moisturizer or a cream). Balms also helps maintain the moisture and oil balance of the skin, because when your face becomes dry from over-cleansing or exfoliating, it produces more sebum. When your face becomes active in producing too much oil, you are then more prone to having breakouts and other blemishes.
I’ve been using it for a month and a half now and this one keeps my face hydrated for the whole day (thanks to aloe extracts and shea butter), especially when I pair it up with the a.stop clear serum. This is one of the 3-steps that I used during the days I’m not in the mood to do anything, thankfully my skin didn’t give up on me.
Lastly, one thing I loved about it is it definitely helped my skin calm down, so any active pimples I have had less inflammation in a day or two and gone in a week with minimal hyperpigmentation (thanks to raspberry, and wild berry extracts to fight inflammation and white willow extract with antibacterial properties).
Truly multi-functional for a “simple balm”.
Contains ingredient not so good with all skin types.
In terms of consistency, it is thicker than a lotion, but lighter than a face cream. However, in terms of absorption it takes a few minutes for it to fully dry up, so it’s a bit challenging to layer it up, and too many layers make my face feel heavy. It has a smell typical of unscented lotions or products.
