Adapalene Gel 0.1%
After not being able to use the prescription retinoid I had because it was too strong for my skin (my sister sent the wrong strength) I got interested in using adapalene again and @cassandrabankson sold me in this one as is a few dollars less than the popular differin.
I started having a long purging period after starting this treatment I started breaking out like crazy but I am not sure if it was this or the fresh rose cream I was using (which I suspect it was a little bit of purging and a lot of that cream). But, I was also alternating this with the La Roche Posay Retinol B3 and as I stopped using that and concentrating in the adapalene my skin was improving slowly but I cut back on a lot of irritation at the beginning by using it every other day.
As you can see I use this whole tube in two months (usually lasts you a month but since I wasn’t using it everyday). Now that I’ve been using Adapalene for a month straight I have seen a lot more improvement on my breakouts. Adapalene has worked for me in the past. I couldn’t expect more but good things out this active. I will from now continue on using Adapalene in my nighttime routine.
The only downside is that as the weather has changed and it’s colder my skin is dryer and starting to peel off which means I need to apply more moisturizer to the dry areas and drink more water in order to keep using Adapalene every night.
