enne review for Retinol Cream

i should preface this with the fact that i did not pay the full price for a jar of this cream. i spent a little over $5 the first time, and this isn’t exactly a brand that’s well known or has a lot of credibility. but this was one of the few brands from china that is transparent with their ingredients so i thought id give it a chance. i did not hold much hope for this product at first but i’m not gonna lie, i am impressed. key ingredients: 💢 aloe vera 💢 ascorbic acid 💢 2.5 % retinol 💢 acetyl hexapeptide-8 💢 arbutin ✅ alcohol-free ✅ fragrance-free ⚜️ packaging: a small 30g jar container with a screw cap. the jar is amber while the cover is white. ⚜️ texture: pretty lightweight cream that’s yellow, spread easily and smoothly, fast absorption, non-greasy and dries matte ⚜️ scent: it’s kinda that typical cream scent? 💰 price: 15SGD (Shopee) 🗣 thoughts: okay i am seriously impressed by this cream. i was iffy at first bc of the ingredient list too bc vitamin c, retinol, peptide and arbutin??? it’s kinda A Lot. plus this was my introduction to retinol so i expected all the side effects to appear after using this but my skin had no adverse reaction at all. maybe there was a slight increase in irritation, especially when mixed with other actives, but it didn’t go beyond that. despite a pretty high percentage of retinol too. i started with alternating days (3 days at first before decreasing over time), and the gentleness and ease of use makes this a very pleasant experience. after going through two tubs of this cream, i can say that my skin is smoother, my pores are less visible and some of my deep acne scars have diminished considerably. ofc like all retinol products, don’t expect changes to occur immediately, all the changes I’ve stated are gradual changes that i only noticed after a few months. this cream is suitable for people with all skin types but if you have sensitive skin you should be cautious.
