Intensive Hand & Nail Cream
Kamill Hand Cream is Germany’s number one selling hand cream. It seems to last quite awhile - I only need to apply it two or three times a day. There is currently a tube in every bathroom in my home. Upon inspection of the ingredients of this hand cream, I noted the following:
The Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Bisabolol, Glycerine, Glucose, Palmitic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, and Caprylyl Glycol all soothe and moisturize the skin. Lactic Acid both exfoliates and moisturizes. There are some ingredients that are not desirable, including Limonene, Citronellol, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, and Geraniol, all used for fragrance, the scent of which is faint - I get migraines from a lot of artificial fragrance and don’t notice the scent. There are also some preservatives and buffering agents in Kamill Hand Cream.
This product is vegan, but it is not Leaping Bunny or PETA endorsed (hence not animal-cruelty free).
Overall, this hand cream serves its purpose just as well as or better than hand creams that I’ve paid up to $40 for. Only a small amount is needed - excess application can cause your hands to feel greasy.
Note that I did use Photoshop to enhance the visibility of the cream’s texture.
There are some ingredients that are known to be harmful to the skin, especially sensitive skin. Despite its vegan status, the product is not animal-cruelty free.
