RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer with Retinol
🎈TLDR
Feel smooth and glides well on the skin
Can feel heavy for my skin on hot and humid days
Not hydrating enough for my dehydrated skin
💦 Texture
I would say the texture is midway between cream and lotion. It feels smooth and glides well on the skin.
💁🏻♀️My experience
💭 Particularly during hot and humid days, it feels a bit too heavy on my face and my skin can look oilier overtime after applying it to my face (although it doesn’t feel suffocating)
💭 While this moisturizer does not cause me breakout or irritation, it is not hydrating enough for my dehydrated skin. The barrier repair function of the moisturiser is not particularly noticeable and there isn't a significant before-and-after difference in my skin barrier imo.
💭 Although it contains 0.01% of retinol and claims to have an anti-ageing effect on the skin, I think that the anti-ageing effect is not significant on my skin (perhaps because anti-ageing is not yet my major concern atm). However, imo I would reach for products with a higher concentration of retinol if retinol is sth I would like to incorporate into my skincare routine💛
🧖🏼♀️ Suitable for normal to dry skin.
💰Repurchase?
Unfortunately no🙈 While this moisturizer is not cheap, it feels like an ordinary moisturizer for my skin that does no harm to my skin yet doesn't perform particularly amazing. I personally prefer moisturiser that is a little more hydrating.
