It's a twist top cap bottle with a little bit of give to it so you can squeeze the essence out of the applicator tip. It's milky in color with that fragrance free scent. The texture is more on the emulsion or light lotion side. A little confusing to be called an essence but I can let that slide. I like to use this after the toner or essence step. It's very lightweight in feeling but it definitely adds that needed moisture. Only about a pea size is needed. Any more than that and it takes a while to sink in and makes my skin look a little too shiny to my liking. As it dries down, it gets a little tacky but it goes away when fully absorbed.
