Daily Protective Serum SPF 30+
Who am I kidding here – this is not a serum – it is just another ‘milk’ sunscreen but this particular sunscreen has that richness that holds between its fluid, making it creamy yet lightweight on the skin. It does leave a little bit of dewiness but I am okay with it as it is nothing much as compared to its weird tarte scent, almost tamarind-like which can be quite off-putting – but I have grown beyond it. For a sunscreen, this product is fairly decent at its performance – hydrating, soothing, brightening, nourishing, and moisturizing – and while I am not much of an SPF30-kinda-guys, I actually love how this works on my skin. It is easily blendable – no need for harsh tugging or rubbing – and the white cast, though can be striking at times, is still bearable. It does not leave any uncomfortable finish and the reapplication process is probably one of the most enjoyable from almost 100 sunscreens that I have tried – well since the consistency just fits so well with my skin. At first, I find it a bit too expensive for sunscreen, but for such a beautiful formulation, I can justify the price and I totally enjoy my experience of using this product.
As I mentioned above, I do not go towards SPF30-sunscreen and while I am absolutely in love with its performance, I feel like the sun rating is not really what I would wear especially in my all-year-long hot & humid country – we need sunscreens with higher sun protection.
Overall, it is still a great experience of trying this sunscreen – kind of breaking the barrier on how sunscreens should feel like – and despite its pretty decent sun protection, I find it most beneficial for indoor activities. Well, this is indeed a fairly good serum-sunscreen that does almost everything with a minimal white cast!
