I am a sucker for Retinol – give me everything Retinol and my skin will love them. It is such a game-changing ingredient so when the brand decided to release this, I was excited. It has a very rich & dense gel-cream consistency but is still lightweight enough to not cause any pore-clogging issues, personally. Due to such consistency, it spreads on the skin like butter – beautifully creating a dewy canvas on the skin, without any tackiness or stickiness. It is scentless, so you need not worry about any potential irritants like fragrance or essential oils. What I noticed upon first application is its fairly decent hydrating and soothing effect – usually, Retinol-based products are rarely able to perform such so I am pretty impressed. While it is not revolutionary, I still appreciate it because now, I do not have to add up extra hydrating & soothing products to replenish my skin during any Retinol-routine. The resurfacing progress – due to the inclusion of Retinol – is actually pretty slow and I did give up, but I extend my testing period, and I must say I am happy! I noticed how my skin has become a lot smoother, softer, and brighter – no more uneven skin tone or rough texture. I experienced no purging from this product which means this is gentle enough – yet still effective. This cream is also super nourishing, repairing, and moisturizing which contributes a lot in ensuring the skin barrier is not compromised throughout this whole resurfacing progress. The price is justifiable with everything it has to offer, so this is indeed a holy grail!
