Multi-Biotic Moisturiser
This Boots moisturizer is really good. It has a lighter texture but is very hydrating. The pre and pro biotics are there to maintain the skin’s beneficial fauna and fight off the bad organisms. It has no real scent. I’m so glad I found this product during my travel nightmare!
Key Ingredients
Niacinamide-evens skin tone and improves lines and wrinkles, this helps the skin to repair sun damage, calm inflammation and keep maintain moisture
Tocopheryl Acetate- the major fat-soluble antioxidant in our skin, protecting the skin cells from collagen destroying free-radicals
Alpha-Arbutin-a skin-brightening, depigmenting agent
Portylaca Oleracea Extracts-the richest green plant source of omega-3 fatty acids, B Vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants
Glycerin-naturally present in skin, glycerin attracts water to skin’s upper layer, working as a humectant
Sodium Hyaluronate-A huge molecule from repeated subunits (polymer) that can bind up to 1000 times its weight in hydration
Allantoin-found naturally in the roots & leaves of the comfrey plant, It's not only soothing but it' also skin-softening and protecting and can promote wound healing
Panthenol-pro-vitamin B5. A precursor to vitamin B5 , a great humectant
Plus, a few ingredients I love:
Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice-a skin conditioner
Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide-protects and stimulates the beneficial microbial skin flora
Inulin-naturally occurring fructose used for its prebiotic activity
Shea Butter-a simple emollient, it regenerates and soothes the skin, protects it from external factors (such as UV rays or wind) and is also rich in antioxidants (among others vitamin A, E, F, quercetin and epigallocatechin gallate)
Dimethicone-makes the skin silky smooth, creates a subtle gloss and forms an occlusive barrier. Also, works well to plump skin appearance and temporarily fill in fine lines.
Lactobicillus-a probiotic, this DNA repair enzyme can help to protect the skin against environmental aggressors and assist in maintaining the skin’s biome
Jojoba Seed Oil-makes your skin feel smooth and provide non-greasy emollients that are easily absorbed
Butylene Glycol-moisturizer, humectant and mattifying agent
Overall, a great moisturizer! I like ceramides, so i mix it half and half with CeraVe cream.
This does have petrolatum, which has a bad rap, but is actually a beneficial, non-comedogenic occlusive.
