On The Bright Side Moisturizer
The ingredients are solid. It contains ceramides, probiotics, rice fermented water and madecassoside. It sounds like it should be brightening, calming and hydrating. I agree with calming and brightening. My skin feels soft after application. It also gives me the lovely glazed donut look. All are great.
My issues are with the scent and hydration level. I don’t see fragrance on the ingredient list so it must be the natural smell ☹️. The scent reminds me of cheap hotel lotion with a dash of hospital grade soap. Scent disappears quickly, but it is not pleasing. It doesn’t provide the experience I look for when moisturizing my face.
The texture is a lightweight lotion. It is easy to rub into your skin. It leaves you shinny, but it cools down throughout the day. Maybe it is too lightweight for my dry skin. I find myself using this as a first layer moisturizer. It works well when layered with others. When used alone my face doesn’t feel hydrated. My skin is still begging for more moisture.
This is probably great for those with sensitive skin or normal skin. It simple and didn’t cause irritation to my skin. It seems to be a good basic formula for all skin types. The type a hotel would keep in stock because it is simple. I don’t say that as an insult as I have a drawer of hotel lotions. I always take them home. 😊
