Barrierderm Relief Balm

product review positives
💜 this unique product has really helped my dry skin in winter, because it protects the skin barrier while keeping the moisture in the skin. I like using this as a last step in my routine to lock everything in. dense and unmovable in the jar, it melts with skin temperature and spreads well, leaving a nourishing feel on the face. it does leave a slight tack behind at first but eventually absorbs completely. basically, a way more cosmetically elegant version of smearing Vaseline on your face. feels emollient due to ingredients like 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙖 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧, yet silky at the same time due to 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙮𝙡 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙚 in the formula(a non-clogging, fast evaporating version of 𝘊𝘺𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘹𝘢𝘯𝘦). neither watery, nor oily and sets to more of a satin finish. 💜 its purple color comes from 𝘼𝙯𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙚, which has great anti-inflammatory and photoprotective qualities 💜 enriched with 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙖-𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙 to revive dullness and restore moisture, as well as 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙉𝙋 to repair skin barrier 💜 packed with humectants like 𝙂𝙡𝙮𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣, 𝘼𝙡𝙜𝙖𝙚, 𝙁𝙞𝙜 𝙁𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩 & 𝙐𝙡𝙢𝙪𝙨 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙩 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨, 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙖-𝙂𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙣 & 𝙃𝙮𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙮𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝘼 💜 soothes and hydrates with 𝘾𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖 💜 brightens with 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙩 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩 💜 contains even more skin-identical ingredients like, 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙡, 𝙂𝙡𝙮𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝘼𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙘𝙞𝙙, 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝘼𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙋𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙮𝙡𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙄𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚 & 𝙃𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙚 💜 comes in a smooth 45ml plastic jar with a nice big spatula 𝘍𝘙𝘌𝘌 𝘍𝘙𝘖𝘔 ☒ 𝙀𝙊 ☒ 𝘼𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙝𝙤𝙡 ☒ 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚
product review negatives
💟 even though it has worked well for fixing up my dry patches and creating a protective layer after all of my skincare steps, I sort of wish it was more of an oily dewy balm that hung out on my skin for longer, rather than siliconey emollient balm that can feel slightly suffocating and, ironically, a tad drying, as if it's evaporating off the face slightly. kind of like your lips might stay dry and chapped after silky/waxy lip balms but become softer and more hydrated long-term after oily lip balms/lip oils. ig what I'm saying is that I want a cleansing balm in a form of a moisturizer lol. on the other hand, this might make the formula suitable for oilier skin people, that want to seal in some moisture and protect the skin too without looking like a disco ball 💟 long ingredient list along with some of the emollients might contribute to clogged pores, and I might've gotten a few closed bumps due to this before. might not be FA-safe 💟 I think they're reformulating or rebranding, so this guy might be nowhere to be found now, just like their milky serum I loved so much
