Retinol 0.5% in Squalane

product review positives
Retinol is just great for acne and fading hyperpigmentation, at the start of the pandemic I started off with using the 0.2% in squalane until i started to see no results and then i upped the concentration to this one. Since it’s in squalane, it’s texture is more like a facial oil, so if you’re trying to incorporate this into a routine you already have, make sure to use this after your water based serums! Once you put this on the skin, it does sink in fairly quickly. I usually watch youtube videos while I’m doing my routine so I’ll give it a couple of minutes before I put on my moisturiser. All in all, I have seen great results with using this product and I will continue to use it!
product review negatives
I went through an entire bottle of this before I realised it had to be in the fridge for stability reasons, they should make it more clearer on the packaging that it’s the case. Another point is that Deciem have said that stability in this formulation is for roughly 3 months, so if you don’t get through the bottle in that time, it seems like a waste.
