Booster Serum (Hydrating & Soothing Drops)
Issy and Company develops different variants of their products to cater to different skin care needs. The Booster Serum has four variants. Since this variant is specifically made for sensitive and/or mature skin, it’s the booster serum that’s fragrance-free. It’s also vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and dermatologist tested.
It’s formulated with some of my fave skin care ingredients: panthenol, beta-glucan, peptides, and sodium hyaluronate.
Panthenol is a humectant that is supposed to moisturize skin, improve the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, help with wound healing, and firm up the skin.
Beta-glucan is known to heal wounds and moisturize skin. It’s also an anti-oxidant with anti-aging benefits.
I absolutely love this brand but like all brands with a wide product range, some of their products are just going to be better than others, and this isn’t one of my faves from them.
Despite all these wonderful ingredients, I didn’t see any benefits while using this serum. It’s very lightweight and is easily absorbed by my skin but after a few minutes, my skin looks and feels exactly the same as it did prior to applying the product. I didn’t see any long term benefits either.
This booster serum is touted as a makeup and skincare hybrid product. Personally, since I didn’t find this to be hydrating enough by itself, it may be better combined or added on to other beauty products, like Issy has suggested adding the serums to your concealer or blush.
