Rosy Pink
I have the color No.40 Pure Violet. I bought it because I actually got the wrong shade of foundation - much deeper and warmer than my tone so I bought the pure violet shade to contrast the warmth and this product can also give a tone-up effect. It does its job: make my foundation lighter and more neutral, which fit my skin nicely.
However, my foundation was a hydrating dewy one, and after mixing with this with a 1:1 ratio it became more semi-matte. On its own, this skin veil base - although “veil” - have quite a matte finish. If I hydrated my skin beforehand, it would go on very smoothly leaving my skin matte and blur, with a tone up effect - depends on how you like it.
If you need a tone up, color-correcting matte base, this worth a try!
However, if I do not hydrate my skin enough, it would clumps to my dry patches. I have combo oily skin but it is still quite drying on mine, so dry skin probably won’t wanna try this. I was actually expecting a more hydrating velvety finish because of the “veil”, but this is just a bit drying and matte.
If you have medium to deep skin and just want a color-correcting base without tone-up effect, this might not be for you! It has very light violet shade - more white, so I think it wouldn’t look that great on medium to deep skin. The inner of my arm is relatively warm pale, but it already looks way lighter (look st the picture)
Another thing, it has very strong, overwhelming scent. And the texture is a tad bit heating up on my skin, which leave me a little uncomfy during summer time.
