Azelac Ru
When it come to Post inflammatory Erythema(PIE) there are very few products you can choose from. PIE is the red marks left behind after acne and they arenโt on the surface of the skin like hyperpigmentation. They sit under the surface of the skin and extremely hard to get rid of. Time and patience are your best friends but some products can help accelerate the process. Like this one here !!
Iโve been using this Azelac ru serum from the last 4 months and I can tell you that my skin loves it. What it contains and how it helps?
Anti acne and Soothing :
๐ผ Azelaic Acid (Also helps reduce redness)
Anti Inflammatory :
๐ผ 4-butilresorcinol
๐ผ Ascorbyl Glucoside(a stable form of vitamin c)
๐ผTocopheryl Acetate(a form of vitamin E)
Anti-Aging :
Retinol
Hyperpigmentation :
๐ธAzelaic Acid
๐ธTranexamic Acid
Although usually recommended for hyperpigmentation, Azelaic acid and Tranexamic acid are also known to reduce redness in rosacea and PIE. It was prescribed to me by my derm because my skin couldnโt handle the cream form of Azelaic acid.
My take on the Product :
Pros-
๐ธ It has visibly reduced my redness
๐ธ Non sticky formula, easily absorbs
๐ธ Improves the texture of my skin
๐ธ It has a sort of peeling effect
๐ธ Need just 2-3 drops for the whole face
One bottle easily lasts me 2-3 months. Need just a few drops everytime and I use it just twice a week.
Cons-
๐น Dries the skin a little if used everyday(so I use it only 2-3 times a week and moisturize twice or use a heavier moisturizer with it)
๐น not fragrance free(but it doesnโt irritate my dry sensitive skin)
