Truecica Aqua Calming Sun Cream SPF50+PA++++
☀️ The @somebymi TrueCica Aqua Calming Suncream has been such a wonderful surprise over the last couple of weeks and I’m ready to share my thoughts! Keep in mind this is a chemical sunscreen.
☀️ CLAIMS ☀️
- Aims to be calming, moisturizing, and soothing on the skin with no stickiness
- No whitecast even when applied in multiple layers
- Recommended for sensitive and dry skin
☀️ PACKAGING ☀️
- Consistent with all their other products in this line, the lovely but simple green and white branding can be seen on this 50mL tube with a twist off cap
☀️ MAIN INCIS ☀️
- TrueCica blend
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract
- Nymphaea (Water Lily) Alba Flower Extract
- Panthenol
- Hyaluronic Acid
☀️ TEXTURE AND SCENT ☀️
- Lightweight gel/cream (leans a bit more creamy) that is cooling on application
- Truly no white cast even shortly after application. You can see from my video it melts in beautifully
- Leaves my skin soft and hydrated but really no sticky feeling
- No pilling problems, I haven’t had trouble layering
- I would say this gives a dewy finish but not nearly as dewy as the isntree HA watery gel
- ⛔️ Literally my only downside is this has a light scent of lavender (lavender oil included). I wish it wasn’t there
* This whole spf feels very similar to the old Keep Calm spf that got pulled off the market (rip). It’s no wonder I love this one so much since I raved about that one
☀️ EXPERIENCE ☀️
Reenee Rates It: 5/5 - I didn’t think there could be an spf that came close to touching my HG list but this one earns its spot. It cools and calms my skin, it has a beautiful finish, and it’s super lightweight and comfortable to wear and reapply. I personally hate lavender so while that’s my only negative I still find myself grabbing for this multiple times a day. It’s a generous sized tube as well.
Really i just dont like the lavender oil. Otherwise this worked quite well for me.
