Sun Light Gel SPF50+
This is my favorite face sunscreen π so i was surprised to see it's rating here π
i've been using this for almost 10 years now.. it was given to me by my dermatologist when she diagnosed me with rosacea (though i was there for a different reason π
)
but while talking to me she noticed that my "flushed cheeks" isn't normal from then on i continue using it until now. π
It's claim :
Helps prevent skin pigmentation and premature skin aging. Cetaphil Sun SPF50+ Light Gel offers high broad spectrum sun protection against UVA/UVB rays for both face and body. A lightweight sunscreen that is highly water resistant and suitable for sensitive skin, making it ideal for everyday protection.
Why i love this sunscreen?
- safe for sensitive skin (Cetaphil are well known for sensitive skin friendly products and its true! π)
- it's light gel formula & texture which is not thick & sticky
- helps with my rosacea, does not make my skin flare up unlike other sunscreens ive tried, somehow i feel like the protection is not enough compared to this
How can i tell? My cheeks get warmer and red-er than usual whenever i use a different one
- unscented
also one of the reason i can't switch to a different brand, (my skin immediately reacts to ANYTHING WITH SCENT) I tried face republic, baroness, esfolio made my skin bump-ish no visible break outs but you can feel it whenever you touch your face does that makes sense? π
maybe because all three of them are scented π€·ββοΈ
- no break outs
- no need to re-apply the whole day, unless you are going to stay outdoors.
- a bit pricey here in PH, that's why i keep finding a cheaper alternative but cant find one that has the same effect on my skin
- it has a subtle/almost sheer white cast but goes away once it sets on your skin
- it takes a few seconds to set
