Hyaluron Bubble Pop Cleanser
This Hanskin cleanser has quickly become an unexpected favorite. I bought this cleanser on a whim during a sale on Ulta’s website. It had just newly launched and there wasn’t much information regarding ingredients anywhere online. I usually never buy products without inspecting the ingredients list thoroughly, but I took the risk as I have high expectations from Hanskin and the description of the product made it seem like it was a gentle cleanser. Once I received the product, I was glad to see that my expectations were met. The ingredients are very clean, with no harsh surfactants, comedogenic ingredients, fragrance, or essential-oils, making this product perfect for sensitive acne-prone skin. It’s very hard these days to find Korean cleansers that do not have essential oils. This cleanser is very gentle and does not strip your skin, which is not usually the case with most foam cleansers. That may be due to the two types of hyaluronic acid in the formula which prevents the skin from feeling tight after use. I’m not a fan of the popular hyaluronic acid cleanser, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, because it didn’t seem like it actually cleansed my skin, but instead it felt like I had just rubbed a light lotion on my face. It would leave a hydrating film that I did not like. Thankfully, this Hanskin cleanser does not leave any film on the skin. You really feel like your skin has been thoroughly cleansed with the help of the gentle coconut-derived surfactants and Soap Bark Extract. I definitely recommend checking this cleanser out if you’re a fan of Korean skincare, but want to buy it in store rather than ordering online.
This cleanser cannot function as a 1st cleanser, as it will not remove makeup or water resistant suncreen on its own. This should only be used as a second cleanser after using a cleansing balm/oil as a first cleanser OR can be used as a morning cleanser when your face is bare. I personally like to use it as a second cleanser and not a morning cleanser (I use La Roche Posay Hydrating Cleanser) because my skin is too dry and dehydrated to use a foaming cleanser on bare skin. I only use non-foaming cleansers on bare skin. I only use this to remove cleansing balm/oil residue after makeup and suncreen removal. As a second cleanser, this is perfect!
