Moonlight Toner Pads
The Product:
๐ This toner claims to exfoliate, moisturize, minimize pores, soothe and brighten
๐ Key ingredients include sea water (calms irritation and reduces inflammation) and sea salt (cleanses pores and balances oil production)
๐ Claims to contain no Paraben, Alcohol, Sulfates, Formaldehyde, Phthalates, Artificial Colorings, and Other Harsh Chemicals
What I Loved:
๐ My nose is my struggle spot when it comes to pores and sebum. I found this did clean them up
๐ Itโs very convenient - if youโre always in a rush, this makes toner an easy step in the routine - you just wipe your face (avoiding your eyes), pat it in, and discard the cotton pad
Areas for Improvement:
๐ It has a strong smell from the essential oils it containsโฆ Iโd prefer if it didnโt smell at all, but at the very least Iโd like to see them tone it down a little bit (pun intended ๐)
๐ While Pobam claims this is good for all skin types, the Picky app identifies three risky ingredients for sensitive skin: citrus limon peel oil (lemon), citrus aurantium dulcis oil (orange), and rosmarinus officinalis leaf oil (rosemary). If youโre sensitive to essential oils, avoid thisโฆ As well, these can be mildly phototoxic (make you sensitive to sunlight), so be careful and wear SPF!
๐ While the convenience of this is great, this feels kind of wasteful/unsustainable. The toner pads are one use and then thrown outโฆ The waste is something to be mindful of - especially since there is so much essence in the cotton pad that isnโt used up
๐ I wish more of the info on the box was translated to English. There were no English instructions or descriptions on the box, so I had to look it up online
