Nutrinature Ultra Moist Gel Oil
🌟 RE:P Nutrinature Ultra Moist Gel Oil
I received this product for free from Picky and RE:P in exchange for my honest review.
🌟 Price Point: ~USD$30 for 30ml
🌟 Key Ingredients: Packed with EOs (Lavender, Bergamot, Orange, Rosewood, Rosemary, Eucalyptus), and fragrances (e.g. Limonene, Linalool)
🌟 Texture:
The name of this product was quite misleading - i expected a thick oil texture, but it really is a thick gel, which I kind of enjoyed!
🌟 Thoughts:
Let’s put the EOs aside for now…. I actually enjoyed the texture of the product - it is a thick gel texture, which spread super quickly. Surprisingly, the fragrance wasn’t too overpowering (despite the bagillion EOs lol).
Honestly, some of REP’s branding resonated with me (cruelty-free, environmentally-conscious). In particular, I agree with REP’s aim to reduce the number of steps/complexity of skincare routines, through “multifunctional”, all-in-one products (e.g. toner/serum/moisturiser together).
However, here’s my take: the naming and wide variety of products under REP kinda goes against this philosophy — the names of the products doesn’t make it immediately clear for consumers, on what function it serves in a skincare routine. In addition, there seems to be a huge variety of products (cream, multi-item, night mask, mask) which sounds quite complex rather than simplified really.
Also, the part on natural ingredients I do not agree with, the definition of “natural” itself is silly, and isn’t necessarily better than “processed” chemicals. Also, if “natural” means EOs… no thank u!
🌟 Verdict: 2/5
While I did not experience any irritation from this product, the inclusion of not one, not two, but like so manyyyy EOs just make this product incredibly hard to recommend, as the texture/hydration simply doesn’t make up for any potential for skin irritation imo.
The reason why I gave a 2 (rather than 0 lol), is I did feel this texture of product is really interesting, and I really like the packaging and pump as well! (quite trivial but they do matter I guess)
