Happy weekend! Hope you have a great weekend and today I'm going to review a 5X Ceramide Barrier Repair Serum from @skintificofficial. This repair serum has 5 type of ceramides, bifida ferment lysate with centella asiatica extract. It also contains a sodium hyaluronate, another family of hyaluronic acid (HA) with niacinamide (2-5% I think), ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10), panthenol, bisabolol and vitamin E. This serum can strengthen the skin barrier, slightly soothe the skin and help an active ingredients (Vitamin C, chemical exfoliant) to do their thing without irritation. I think that this serum is gentle enough to not irritate sensitive skin. For reference, I have an oily skin with occasional breakouts, and usually a hyaluronic acid-based serum can feel sticky or tacky, but the gel texture of this milky serum is nice and light. It has a slip to it that I like, it absorbs nicely and my skin feels softer after every application. No tacky, sticky, oily or greasy finish, so it's great on hot days when we don't want anything heavy on our face. This ceramide serum is doing its job, especially combined with any barrier moisturiser like SKINTIFIC 5X Ceramide Barrier Moisture Gel. Sometimes I have an issue with overexfoliate skin, dehydration and compromise skin barrier, and these two products can save my skin. My skin is the best version of itself when I use them for a few days in a row. Both morning and night, they're one of my go-to products when my skin has a lot of sebum because they doesn't make my skin more oilier, no clogged pores, no breakout. To conclude, it’s a good repair serum that would suit oily, combination and normal skin types more. Hydrates skin from within, doesn’t cause me acne and good for sensitive skin that reacts to alcohol since it doesn’t contain it.
