AC Fighting Spot RX Cream
This spot cream is advertised as being effective for post-acne marks, red spots, and active blemishes and I found all of that to be true. Itโs active ingredients are B3 (niacinamide) and zinc, which make a gentle yet effective combo for combating all of the above. I usually use a salicylic acid spot treatment that I thought was doing well, so I was surprised that this creamed worked even better for me. I think this is going to be my new go-to spot treatment! Itโs a moisturizing and calming cream and left my skin with less irritation than my normal salicylic acid spot treatment, while still being effective against active blemishes and post acne marks. It healed active blemishes super fast, like within 2 days fast. ๐ฎ I also noticed that the post acne marks left behind were way lighter for me while using this, and I can get some pretty dark post acne marks sometimes that last for weeks. It has a pleasant herbal smell, thanks to the tea tree also in the formula. The cream is light and silky feeling, although because of the zinc it does take a bit of rubbing in to completely absorb into skin. I used it both day and night for several days before applying my moisturizer. Comes in a very decent sized 1.05 oz tube, currently priced at $17.86 on the Tiam global website.
Because this is so gentle, I also feel comfortable letting my pre-teen daughter use it. Iโm very picky with her skincare, I donโt want her using harsh ingredients and actives that could damage her skin barrier at such a young age. She has pretty great skin so far ๐ค but does experience the occasional blemishes every now and then. She also had a few very small active blemishes around her nose while I was testing this product so I had her use this spot treatment one night and by morning they were gone without a trace. I was impressed. Because her blemishes are very mild currently, I would rather her use this cream with B3 and zinc than a salicylic acid spot treatment.
I was gifted this product for free in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Tiam for allowing me to try and review this product!
The only thing some people may dislike is that it does take a bit of rubbing in to fully absorb into the skin and not leave a white cast. This is due to the zinc in the formula. I personally did not find that particularly difficult.
