St. Tropez - katrinajh review for Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist

When I was younger I often tanned without any consideration to how it’s ageing my skin. As I hit my 30s my passion for skincare increased. Rather than thinking about slapping on the oil and baking in the sun all day, I started to experiment with fake tans. The first thing that comes to my head when I think of fake tan is: 💭 Does it look streaky / patchy? 💭 Does it smell? 💭 Will I look orange? I was really excited to try this bronzing water face mist it claimed to give a natural, sun-kissed glow and instant hydration in just one application - NO rinse | NO streaks | NO transfer | NO self-tan smell! So let’s put it to the test! (patch test required 24 hours before use). Firstly I followed my usual skincare routine ensuring to exfoliate and moisturise (especially the dry areas). Holding it approx. 20cm away from my face, I then sprayed 6 pumps as directed over the face and neck. I gently massaged it in the areas that seemed to get more spray. Instantly I was impressed how it didn’t have that horrible fake tan smell but then again, this is usually only apparent after a few hours. Skip to 8 hours later… AMAZING! No smell and it gave a healthy, even bronzed glow. Skip to the following morning… no transfer on my clothes / bedding. WINNER! Overall this tanning face mist gets a huge thumbs up from me. It is so easy to use and looks so natural. You can easily top it up too if you want to enhance the tan further. As it is a light-medium shade it probably wouldn’t be suitable for those with an already darker tan. You also need to be careful when applying it as you cannot see the product due to it being a water mist. Thankfully the nozzle disperses the product evenly so that makes it less of a concern. It’s safe to say I would definitely be purchasing this product when this bottle runs out! I am also eyeing up the St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Vitamins Body Mist for next time too!
