The unique thing about this skincare product is that it was formulated with men as the target demographic. Because of the challenges of tending toward oily skin and facial hair, many men might be put off by the idea of applying sunscreen for fear that it may leave a streaky cast or greasy sheen to their face, making application tricky and inconvenient. Mantl’s Invisible Daily SPF 30 is a chemical sunscreen that dispenses as a transparent gel with a velvety lightweight texture like that of a makeup primer. When applied, it has this incredible filter-like smoothing effect that blurs the appearance of pores. It has a mattifying effect and zero streakiness or pilling, so while it is made with non-makeup wearers in mind, I’m pleased to report that it passes the test for layering and reapplication. It is currently one of my favorite sunscreens at the moment for that reason. ☺️ The key feature ingredients in this sunscreen aside from the SPF active ingredients are willow herb extract for oil control, fatty acids for improved skin hydration and nourishment, and ginger root for soothing stressed and irritated skin. This sunscreen also did not sting when used near the eye area.
