If you need a hard hold gel, then this one is amazing! I use this to style my wavy hair. I prefer a hard hold gel because I need that to keep my waves defined as my hair dries. I also wash and style my waves at night and need it to have a hard cast to hold through the night and protect my waves until I scrunch it out in the morning. This gel is very thick, but is easy to work with, easy to emulsify with some water, and smooths through hair really nicely. It leaves a hard cast but scrunches out nicely and leaves no flakes behind. It has the same light smell as other Biosilk products I have used. As with all Biosilk products, it also contains hydrolyzed silk, which is a vegan protein. It helps protect hair and give it luster.
