Bakuchiol Plus Serum
I decided to take a break from retinol products this winter. I’ve just been having so many rosacea flair ups and my skin is already dry due to the weather, so no need to use products that could be irritating and drying and contribute more to those issues, right? So instead, I’ve been turning to this bakuchiol serum that Reviva Labs was kind enough to send me a while back.
The Reviva Labs Bakuchiol Plus Serum is perfect for winter because it’s actually an oil. The ingredients list is short and sweet, just safflower oil with bakuchiol, a few extracts like alfalfa and artichoke (which are packed with antioxidants), vitamin E, CoQ10 (more antioxidants), and jasmine. No added fragrance, but the jasmine does give it a light scent. It’s not an overpowering scent so totally tolerable for me. The only downside to the short ingredients list is that it contains no preservatives, so it’s not a serum I plan to keep around for a while. Now that it’s opened, I’ll be focusing on finishing it promptly. I use this in my night routine as the last step in my routine since it’s an oil. I pat it into my skin after applying moisturizer. My skin loves bakuchiol and this serum is no exception. I love the way my skin looks in the morning after using it. It keeps my face hydrated overnight, but not greasy. You only need 1 pump, and beware that the product does come out quickly and can catch you off guard. Now that I know that, I pump it into my cupped palm and it’s fine. I’ve also been putting this serum on my hands some nights since they’re so dry. It leaves my hands hydrated and soft as well. Overall, I’m really enjoying it.
This product was gifted by Reviva Labs with no obligation to post about it anywhere or leave any reviews. My reviews of all products are always 100% honest, I’ll always tell you about the good and the bad.
Nothing bad about this, my skin is really enjoying it!
