Infused with ceramides, shea butter, yeast extract and Alteromonas ferment extract among other nice ingredients, it promises to hydrate and protect lips from external aggressors.That's a great start, right? I'm afraid that's not all, though. It also contains a bunch of essential oils with a high chance of sensitizing skin. My skin would have been destroyed for sure, but surprisingly my lips have been doing just fine.
It has a light, gel-like consistency. It spreads easily on the lips and forms a thin layer over them, not feeling thick or heavy, nor sticky. It has a beautiful glossy finish, so it can be used as substitute of gloss too.
It has a herbal scent which, for those who don't like much this kind of scent, can be too much. It definitely hydrates my lips, but I feel like it lacks on the protection department, as it fades away rather fast and reapplication is needed quite frequently (this is common with lip oil products). Healing dry or chapped lips is not as quick as with other products I've tried before. So, all in all, it's a so-so balm for me. 😅
