Milk Peel Cream Mask
“Milk Peel Cream Mask” paints a very interesting albeit different picture from the actual experience. What comes out of the pump is a thick, opaque (white) paste, in line with what you would expect to see from a standard clay mask. Things start to get fascinating when I noticed that the paste activates by itself once exposed to air, creating numerous tiny bubbles on the surface of the paste.
The instructions indicate that you should spread the creamy mask on damp skin, and then wait 30-60 seconds before rinsing everything off… And this is where the magic happens! The paste dissolves into fine foam upon contact with water—we’re talking shaving cream levels here—with a hint of the paste-y, clay texture still remaining. Spreading over the skin is easy business as the clay has significantly thinned out. 60 seconds later, the peel mask is starting to dry and a thin film of clay becomes noticeable after the lather has cleared. Washing off is also convenient due to the mask’s lighter consistency.
After the rinse, I did notice a slight stinging/tightening sensation on the sides of my nose and cheekbones. Again, this is something I usually experience with a kaolin mask, but the lighter formula means tightness to a lesser extent. You get a deep clean that can work with dryer skin types. The milk mask also has a light, baby powder scent that I found enjoyable.
Not for super dry, flaky skin types. Ideally for normal to oily skin.
