Solid Shampoo Acai & Lavender
i've been using oasis' shampoo bars on and off for about a year. they're pretty affordable. i'm trying to reduce my carbon footprint. i love supporting local brands too!
the canelé shape is easy to grip and doesn't slip out of my hands in the shower.
the acai & lavender scent is okay. there's a strong lavender essential oil scent for the first few weeks. it slowly dissipates then completely disappears.
it doesn't become mushy even after a long time. it'll stay in its original shape unless i drop it.
i've bought oasis' shampoo bars before. they've all been easy to foam and cleanse my scalp as well as conventional shampoos. they leave my hair feeling really soft and smooth too! when it's too small to use with hands, i put the bits in a foaming net. this ensures that i use up the entire bar.
after a while, you'll see the white bits of surfactants separating from the shampoo bar mixture. this is a common occurrence and is totally normal!
can be a bit of a hassle because it takes time to foam up. when i'm lazy, i'll just use my usual shampoo. still a work in progress in phasing out shampoo bottles for more eco-friendly options 🫠
not the biggest fan of this scent.
more expensive than conventional shampoos. this is to be expected though. i try to save money by opting for the subscription!
as with all "natural" products, there are no preservatives so the shelf life is much shorter. it hasn't bothered me so far since i use up the shampoo bars timely.
